MG

Started in the 1920s by Cecil Kimber as part of W. R. Morris’s Oxford city retail sales & service business. It is said that MG took it’s name from the initials of Morris Garages. MG soon became best known for its two-seat open sports cars, including the T-type which began production in 1936. Although the company changed ownership many times in it’s history, it continued to manufacture popular sports cars. Including the MGB, probably the worlds most popular sports car, with production from 1962 to 1980.
